Paintings by Jordan Zweifler
"I believe in painting as a constant evolutionary process, constantly reforming and remaking."
Jordan Zweifler likens painting to the process of sculpting: you put things in, you take things out. Creating layers of dimension and depth.
Working with the unity of color refraction to form an overall harmony throughout his composition, Zweifler starts each painting with a splashy base of acrylic paint. Next he applies oil to enhance the brilliance of the color. At the end, structure is formed as he arranges each portion of the painting in its proper space. No varnish or linseed oil is used Zweifler lets the colors speak for themselves.
